Newton Open Studios is a relaxed and informal two-day community event: 160 Newton artists show and offer their work for sale, and receive feedback from the public. Visitors use our detailed full-color Map & Guide and our interactive website to plan self-guided tours. Locations include homes, studios and group spaces.


NOS is a cooperative effort—participating artists work together to make it succeed.


SATURDAY & SUNDAY, APRIL 7 & 8, 2018 @ 3-4PM - Venture inside a living, breathing painting, as Luminarium Dance Company collaborates with award-winning artist Adria Arch during Newton Open Studios. Company member Jennifer Roberts will perform a series of improvisational solos, dancing among Arch's new work Dept. of the Interior, a "hybrid painting" on paper comprised of cut out abstract elements suspended from the ceiling and walls. Performances will be held at Arch's studio (217 California Street, Newton MA) from 3-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 7 and 8, accompanied by musician Alexander Matheson.
