The Annual Canine Costume Parade is a neighborhood favorite. The Canine Costume Parade is always held the Saturday before Halloween. This year will be the 18th Annual Dog Parade in Jamaica Plain. Dogs and owners in their finest costumes parade from First Baptist Church to the Loring Greenough House, where they will walk the red carpet. The event is helmed and MC’ed by Brad Brown, owner of Blue Frog Bakery. Costumes are judged by local celebrities, and prizes are awarded to the top three participants. 100% of all $10 entry fees from participants go to the City of Boston Animal Shelter, in the form of gifts cards to our local pet stores.
Date and Time: Saturday, October 29, 12:00-2:00pm (rain date: Sunday, October 30)
Location: Registration starts at First Baptist Church, 633 Centre St, at 12noon. The parade commences at 1:00pm to Loring Greenough House. The dogs will walk the Red Carpet upon arrival at Loring Greenough House, 12 South Street, Jamaica Plain.
