The wait is over! The Harvard Square Business Association is delighted to announce the return of the 17th Annual Taste of Chocolate Festival!
FREE Chocolate Tasting Event taking place on Saturday, January 25th on Brattle Street (between Eliot and Church Streets) from 1pm - 2:30pm, followed by an outdoor chocolate street party celebration until 5pm.
From January 24th through the 26th, Harvard Square's finest restaurants, cafes and shops will embark on a three- day chocolate extravaganza.
Come early and be prepared to indulge in scrumptious treats! This chocolate extravaganza attracts hundreds of chocoholics! Harvard Square businesses generously distributing chocolate samples include:
- Hot chocolate from El Jefe’s Taqueria, The Painted Burro, and Lovestruck Books.
- Ice Cream from Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
- Sweet treats from Amorino Gelato, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotels Boston-Cambridge, Henrietta’s Table, Oggi Gourmet, Off the Beaten Path Food Tours and the Harvard Square Business Association
A Winter Carnival event would not be the same without our good friends and crowd-pleasers, Grooversity, who will take off the chill (and perhaps some newly ingested calories!) from 1pm – 2pm with their heart-stopping percussion combining traditional Brazilian grooves like Samba and Axe with Funk, Rock, Jazz and Hip Hop.
At 2pm, DJ extraordinaire, DJ Joey Finnz, will be playing a mix of throwbacks, remixes, and Nu Disco dance music. Come get your groove on and dance like no one is watching! Joe Williams, AKA Joey Finnz, is a drummer, producer, engineer, and DJ. He’s experienced in a myriad of musical styles, having performed as a musician and audio engineer for over 1,000 live events. His passion and knowledge of world music is evident in the track selections and vibes of his DJ performances.
Put your feet up in one of our enclosed “igloos” – an ideal place to unwind and warm up after all that chocolate and dancing – or warm your hands by our fire pits!
All weekend long, your favorite Harvard Square eateries and retailers will dazzle you with sweet deals and promotions and will be creating irresistible specialty chocolate confections and libations! Businesses looking forward to welcoming you.
