The 16th annual Berklee Middle Eastern Festival will celebrate the vibrant polyphonic music of the Republic of Georgia. Through a captivating fusion of solo performances, choir harmonies, and instrumental pieces, the concert aims to immerse the audience in the soul-stirring melodies and rhythms of the Georgian tradition, arranged and musically directed by Giorgi Mikadze in collaboration with festival founder and director Christiane Karam.
The event will feature Georgian artist Tamada alongside an all-star band comprising faculty, students, and special guests. The lineup includes the Pletenitsa Balkan Choir and Berklee College of Music's Middle Eastern Fusion Ensemble, directed by Karam. The performance will also showcase Georgian dance elements choreographed by Lasha Mdzinarashvili.
