The 11 Day Film Sprint promotes more filmmaking in the local community. This film sprint is a fun filmmaking event in which participants have 11 days to write, direct, film, act in, and edit a 1-5 minute long film.
Everyone in the Brookline and Boston area and surrounding community is welcome to create a team and sign up to participate in the sprint. There are no age restrictions and no prior film or editing experience is required. The sprint kicks off at 5:00 p.m. on May 4th (so please sign up ahead of time!), at which point each team will be emailed a line of dialogue and a randomly assigned film genre. After the Kickoff, each group will have until 11:59 p.m. on May 15th to create their 1-5 minute film.
BIG’s team of judges will review all submitted films and award the winners at a screening of the finalists on Thursday, May 18th.
Brookline Interactive Group will provide participants with equipment and studio space on a first come, first served basis. In order to use these resources, participants must become a member and receive basic training on the equipment.
To sign up to participate in the film sprint as a group, please visit: 11dayfilmsprint.com. If you have any additional questions please contact Erin Kinney at [email protected] or call BIG at 617-731-8566.
