Spring is in the air! Temperatures are rising, birds are starting to tentatively warble, and we’re finally enjoying more than 2 hours of sunlight a day. Here are some spectacular spring experiences to look forward to as we break ourselves out of that New England hibernation.

Info: Bostonians know it’s officially spring once the Red Sox are playing. Head to the park to welcome spring and cheer on the home team against the Orioles. Don’t forget to snag yourself a Fenway Frank!
Boston Public Garden Swan Boats Opening Day

Info: Gliding across the Public Garden pond on one of Boston's famous Swan Boats is a classic and whimsical experience here in Beantown. The boats will return to the Public Garden lagoon for their 147th season on April 13th, 2024.

Lilac Sunday at the Arnold Arboretum

Info: Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum boasts more than 400 different kinds of lilacs which reach peak bloom around this time and for over a century the park has celebrated Mother’s Day with the Lilac Festival. This is the only day all year that you’re allowed to picnic in the Arboretum!

Info: It’s hard to find a cuter spring celebration than this one. Inspired by the beloved children’s book Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey, Duckling Day features a parade of children and families dressed like ducklings, games, pop-up art installations, and more.

Info: Boston Calling is the city’s spectacular 3-day music festival held on the sprawling lawn of Harvard’s Athletic Complex in Allston. Kelleher Rose Garden 2022 Bloom

Info: The beautifully designed Kelleher Rose Garden in Fenway (circa 1931) is in bloom for a short three weeks a year, and you don’t want to miss it. In this hidden oasis you’ll find 200 different varieties of roses and plenty of photo opportunities.
