This has been a rainy year but a little water doesn’t have to stop you from experiencing everything the city has to offer. If there’s a drizzle in the forecast, consider one of these indoor activities to energize your weekend.

Where: Around Boston
Info: There’s no better time to retreat to the dry (and air-conditioned!) halls of a museum than on a rainy day. Keep an eye out for deals as well, the Harvard Art Museums are always free, the ICA Boston is free every Thursday night (plus they have live music), and the Gardner Museum is free the first Thursday of every month.
Where: Seaport & Fenway
Info: Bowling is a classic night out for a reason. At Kings in the Seaport or Lucky Strike in Fenway you can get competitive in the bowling lanes, revisit your childhood with classic arcade games, and snack on craft cocktails and elevated bar food.
Belt it out at a new piano bar
Where: Downtown
Info: At this brand new piano bar and gastropub in Downtown Boston you can enjoy artful cuisine and craft cocktails and then enjoy a dynamic piano performance that takes this night out to a whole new level.
Where: South Boston
Info: Try your hand at Boston’s trendiest sport, or get in some indoor practice if you’re already a pro. At PKL in South Boston you’ll have your choice of artsy courts and you can celebrate a victory at the on-site cocktail bar afterwards.

Where: Coolidge Corner
Info: The retro Coolidge Corner Theatre is a great spot to see any film, but they run a great series of throwback films screening everything from Hitchcock and Audrey Hepburn movies to Mean Girls and The Big Lebowski. Don’t forget the popcorn!
