How is it possible that Clover's tomatoes taste and smell like summer, even in the middle of winter? The answer: we get our tomatoes 10 months a year from Backyard Farms, a 42-acre greenhouse in Maine that grows a sustainable winter tomato when the rest of the East Coast has to rely on mealy tomatoes grown thousands of miles away. Tim of Backyard Farms is coming down from Maine to help us re-launch our Winter Tomato Sandwich (sriracha mayo, thick cut Backyard Farms tomato, and fried Ironbound Island seaweed), and he's bringing some different varieties of tomatoes for you to try. Join us from 10am-noon at Kendall for tomato mania!
