For this month's Weird Folk Fest, we are bringing the freak to a whole new level with this evening of tricks and treats. Come dance to Albanian music, watch live painting with musical accompaniment, and groove out to your favorite Nosy Mangabe tunes (Yes, they'll be back), while celebrating Aeronaut Brewery's Octoberfest weekend! There may even be some circus performers! Costumes encouraged!
This month's featured artists:
Balkan Mind Meld plays spirited, grooving tunes from Bulgaria, Albania, Greece, and nearby countries. Inspired by years of study and frequent trips to the Balkans, they strive to play this music with the subtlety and energy it deserves.

Nosy Mangabe - with dueling ukuleles at the helm, this progressive-jazz-folk septet fuses the whimsical, weird, and wonderful, producing an exquisite maelstrom of sound guaranteed to leave the listener's hair messy.

Alongside this marathon of music Zoe Staley will be creating live visual art, Yaron Shragai will be leading the audience in traditional Balkan dances, and Chavi Bansal will be using the music to inspire live improvised dance!
