Reading Classes for First Graders: Helping Children to Read, Write, and Spell
Grade 1 ONLY - Small Group Classes

This live, online small-group course is available for students in grade 1 ONLY. It is offered as a six (6) week course.
This course is for 1st graders who need a "power boost" to finish the school year closer to grade-level reading.
Class Description:
In each 45-minute group session, your child will enjoy activities and word-play games that strengthen phonemic awareness, learn a phonics concept and/or new spelling pattern following the Orton-Gillingham sequence, learn to decode and read real words and sentences, and practice writing new words with the spelling patterns they have learned.

The enrollment deadline is April 25, 2023. Starts April 25th, and runs for 6 weeks. Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sunday 4:40 to 5:25

Tuition Cost:
A $200 USD deposit is needed to secure a spot in the classroom before the course start date, this amount will be applied towards your Week 1 tuition. Then, $200 USD are billed to you weekly for Weeks 2-6 once the term begins. Discounts are available for more than one child. Payments are securely processed weekly through the Reading, Refined website.
What's Included:✓ Group-class sessions include:
✓ A pre-treatment and post-treatment 20-minute consultation
✓ A 30-minute greeting and informal assessment Zoom with your child
✓ 45-minute classes with no more than 6 students 5 times per week at set times.
✓ Each term runs for 6 consecutive weeks.
✓ Assessment results will be written up and given to caregivers.
✓ Your child will receive his or her box of materials to be used during and between sessions and will receive access to the online practice portals.
✓ Instructions for between-session practice will be provided.
✓ Parents can reach Kathryn via email and schedule phone calls as needed.
