With less than two months to go before Election Day, the Radiotopia podcast “This Day in Esoteric Political History” invites you to an evening of fascinating political stories.
Hosts Jody Avirgan (“What Now with Trevor Noah,” TED, FiveThirtyEight), Nicole Hemmer (Vanderbilt University) and Kellie Carter Jackson (Wellesley University) will be joined by comedian and Boston native Josh Gondelman (“Last Week Tonight,” “Desus & Mero”) to bring a historical lens to the 2024 race, including reaction to that week's presidential debate, and discuss Boston's most fascinating history, from molasses floods to the time that Harvard tested napalm on its soccer field.
The “This Day” team will also explore the out-of-nowhere moments that radically changed past presidential races. With so many unpredictable news events already in 2024, are we still in for an “October surprise?
