The Big Mouth Off is the final contest in massmouth’s sixth Greater Boston story slam season. We’re talking the best of the BEST our 6th Big Mouth Off on Thursday, April 30th, 2015.
Teachers, artists, computer specialists, librarians, IT folk, a lawyer and a few local MOTH story slam winners all walk into a bar. No. Into a theater… to take the stage in our season VI finale.
They will be telling true stories on massmouth’s Greater Boston Story Slams themes for 2014-2015 which featured short stories on: nuts, mistaken identity, family tree, perfect storm, shelter, lust, leap of faith, games people play, near death, culture shock, beginner’s luck, power trip, like family, naked, date night, and game over
At each slam contestants who are storytellers and lawyers, medical students, homeschooling moms, journalists, grad students, artists and professional storytellers shared real life stories and competed for a place in the semifinals. The winners of those contests will perform here as they compete for the grand prize- a week in a medieval Tuscan townhouse, yes that's Tuscany, Italy!
Tickets are $20 on line and $25 at the door. Reserved tickets are $40 and you will receive reserved premiere seats and the beverage of your choice.
All proceeds benefit the StoriesLive® High School Scholarship Story Slam. In the last three years storytellers from massmouth, inc. taught over 7,000 high school students to tell their personal stories and distribute over $5000 in prizes each year. Our high school scholarship slam - StoriesLive®-5 Regionals held on May 2nd at Suffolk U, C. Walsh Theater
