Join Samuel Monsour & Roxy's Grilled Cheese in the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway for the first installment of their Summer picnic series—Street Meat. Volume 1 features a remix of dishes found on food trucks, street purveyors, cafes and lechonerias, and puts them all into one place: Your belly!
Menu
Lechon— 12 hour skin-on roasted pork shoulder.
Morcillas— Pig's blood & rice sausage with clove, allspice and nutmeg.
Mampastaeo— Crispy griddled left-over rice and beans.
Tostones de Pana— Twice fried breadfruit.
Mofongo— Green plantain, garlic & chicharrón mash smothered in sofrito.
Pique— Garlicky hot sauce with chile de árbol and pineapple.
"Tres Leches" Horchata (Drink)— Traditional horchata prepared with three styles of milk.
*Please note: This is a fixed menu, which is very very pork heavy. We are sorry, but we cannot make any special accomodations for the evening. On the bright side, this is a Gluten Free menu! This menu is also safe for those allergic to tree nuts, peanuts, shellfish and soy. (This event is going down whether there's sunshine or rain. There are a dozen tables with chairs and large umbrellas in the greenway for your use, so if the almighty Zues decides to rain on our parade, picnickers can at least take some sort of reprieve! Tickets are non-refundable, sorry for any inconvenience.)
