Rupal Patel is a speech scientist at Northeastern University, working in the Communication Analysis and Design Lab (CADlab). She is also the founder of VocaliD, a company that creates custom synthetic voices for some of the millions of people who rely on computerized voices to speak–yet who often sound alike. It also provides an opportunity for people who can speak naturally to bank their voices for use by someone who cannot.

This event is sponsored by the Special Education Division in the Graduate School of Education. The Lesley Graduate Student Chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children will co-sponsor a voice drive in conjunction with this event.

Please join us to hear this inspiring speaker.
