All eyes on Roxbury Open Studios! This annual event is an opportunity for Roxbury's visual artists to welcome the public to view and purchase paintings, drawings, sculptures, textiles, jewelry and other studio crafts. The event also provides a means for individual creativity to play its part in the cultural and economic development of Roxbury.

dreamers compel us to uplift ourselves and our
communities. With unflinching determination they can
bend the arc of history, and shape new lenses to
understand our past. Their unique perspectives
delight, intrigue, and inspire. Lolita Parker, Jr's
images are a tribute to those who dream with open
minds, hearts, and hands.

Panel discussion: No Space. No Art.
Roxbury Open Studios: (Bitter)Sweet 16


In collaboration with Art Is Life Itself!, Discover Roxbury
invites the community to celebrate and ponder the 16th
annual Roxbury Open Studios. During this panel
conversation, attendees will hear the perspectives of
Roxbury arts leaders, and join a candid discussion about
the current state and potential future of the arts in Roxbury.
At the end of the discussion, participants will be invited to
record a short video of their thoughts about Roxbury's
future as an arts community. Discover Roxbury will post the
videos online for the community to watch. Participants are
encouraged to challenge friends and family who were unable
to attend the event to record and post their own videos.

The Fulani Haynes Jazz Collaborative & Open Mic.
Art Is Life Itself! on a weekly basis presents workshops,
dialog, featured artists & musicians along with an open mic.

is brought to you by New Art Love, a social enterprise of the
nonprofit, Artmorpheus, in partnership with Discover Roxbury.
