Primark’s Downtown Crossing location—the Irish company’s first in the U.S.—will open its doors on Thursday, September 10. Grand opening festivities will take place at 9:30 a.m., a ribbon cutting will follow at 10:50 a.m., and the store will officially open for shopping at 11 a.m.

The store is planning a lineup of $3.50 T-shirts, $10 jeans and $5 ballet flats.

PRIMARK BOSTON STORE BY THE NUMBERS:
1 -- The Boston store is the first of eight stores planned in the US. Primark intends to open two more Massachusetts stores at the South Shore Plaza and the Burlington Mall by the end of 2016.
4 -- The number of floors in the store. Women’s clothing will be on the first and second floors; men’s on the third; and children and home on the fourth. Accessories and shoes will be intermixed within each department.
73 -- The number of cash registers spread throughout the store.
84 -- Amount of individual fitting rooms in the Downtown Crossing location.
513 -- The number of mannequins in the store, some of which will be set up in a 1,000-square-foot “trend room” at the front of the store showcasing the most popular fashions.
550 -- Number of workers hired by Primark — part-time and full-time workers in retail, visual merchandising, and department management.
77,000 -- The total amount of retail square footage at Primark, smaller than the Macy’s department store next door.
