Three artists, John M. Williams, James Brennan (JB) Finnerty, and Jessica Park, will be exhibiting as part of the Focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder Annual Symposium and Art Show.
John M. Williams specializes in creating portrait collages of historical figures with a special interest in the Civil War. In effect “painting with paper,” John uses hundreds of small pieces of cut paper to create a likeness of his subject revealing the person’s character as well as his historical significance. The results are compelling, multifaceted fine art collages(see top right for his image of Sacagawea.)
Finnerty's works include whimsical watercolors and abstract paintings that explore graffiti-like, symbolic images. His paintings are oversized and colorful, as he connects colors, shapes, and symbols in ways that are often unexpected and novel (example, left).US Capitol_Park
Park is passionate about astronomy, Victorian architecture, and urban skylines; her detailed acrylic renderings of bridges, buildings, houses, and churches have a distinctive and colorful pop art quality and other worldly brilliance about them (US Capitol, right).
The exhibit will run from April 1 to April 30 in the Atrium Gallery, University Hall, 1815 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA. All are welcome.
