Gather with friends, artists, and colleagues, enjoy light refreshments, and find inspiration as the Rose Art Museum marks the opening of Noé Martínez: The Body Remembers. In Martínez's first solo New England exhibition, the artist invokes his Huastecan forebears, histories, and traumas using body, sound, and movement, offering shamanistic healing for past and present wounds.
This event is free and open to all; registration is required.
Noé Martinez: The Body Remembers is curated by Dr. Gannit Ankori, Henry and Lois Foster Director and Chief Curator and Professor of Fine Arts and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Brandeis University, with Guest Curator Circe Henestrosa.
