Any roots music lover will tell you that Cambridge, MA has been a breeding ground for and focal point of traditional American music for generations. The musicians, venues, and fans from and traveling through Cambridge over the years have paved a way of camaraderie, support, and yes, even a little love for all those who follow.
This is why New England Americana is celebrating their 5th year by taking their annual festival to the streets of Harvard Square, the heart of Cambridge, and making the festival completely FREE to the public! On Saturday, September 27ththe New England Americana Festival will close down Brattle St. and set-up multiple stages featuring acclaimed local bands, a beer garden, invite vendors and artisans, and have plenty of games and fun for the whole family.
Festivities start at noon and include performances by Tigerman Woah!, Tallahassee, Dennis Brennan, Old Jack, Rick Berlin and the Nickel & Dime Band, Time Gearan, Susan Cattaneo, Greg Klyma, and many many more.
