MIX 104.1’s annual free MIXFest concert, presented by Dunkin’ Donuts, returns to Boston on Saturday, September 19th with a stacked lineup of live performances. As announced during the Karson & Kennedy Morning Show with the help of Rob Thomas, former Matchbox Twenty front-man and MIXFest 2015 participant, this year’s live music roster will also include highly-anticipated appearances from the following artists: 90’s hit punk-rock band, Third Eye Blind; Massachusetts native and breakthrough singer of the popular ‘Fight Song,’ Rachel Platten; Australian indie-folk singer, Vance Joy; and soul-pop singer Andy Grammer, who’s hit song ‘Honey, I’m Good’ continues to ride high on Billboard’s ‘The Hot 100’ chart.
To kick off the day, this year’s MIXFest will feature an exclusive performance by the winner of MIX 104.1’s and Regina Pizzeria’s 15 Seconds of Fame contest. The lucky local act will be selected out of a pool of applicants who have submitted videos of their performances on MIX 104.1's 15 Seconds of Fame contest page for the coveted chance to be the opening act at this year’s show.
In its 22nd year, MIX 104.1 will once again treat the Boston community to a FREE show at the DCR Memorial Hatch Shell along the Charles River rain or shine.
