For generations, Boston has been known as the “Athens of America.” We’ve given the world Emerson, Thoreau, Malcolm X, Sylvia Plath and “Make Way for Ducklings.”
On Thursday, October 26th, in conjunction with the Boston Book Festival, the Boston Literary District presents the 2nd Annual Boston Lit Crawl, a night of literary merry-making and mayhem. From 6:00 to 9:30 p.m., intrepid readers will choose from a variety of unique performances and literary events ranging from Improv Edgar Allan Poe to Nerd Trivia to Literary Mad-Libs all in surprising venues from cafes and art galleries to barbershops and shoe stores.
This moveable feast -- all along Newbury Street and in the Literary District-- is FREE, and most of the events will offer beer and wine.
Come thirsty. We'll feed your mind.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Boston Cultural Council, a local agency which is funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, administrated by the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture.
