Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Gala (joslin.org/gala) will spotlight Joslin’s cutting-edge care and innovative research initiatives over the past year. The fabulous black-tie event benefits Joslin Diabetes Center’s High Hopes Fund, which supports the Center’s greatest needs in research, education and clinical care. This year’s Global Achievement Award honorees will be Dr. Gordon Weir and Dr. Susan Bonner-Weir, the husband-wife duo leading Joslin’s beta cell research team and the 2016 Spotlight on Hope honorees will be sisters Sarah and Clarissa Peterson, both type 1 diabetes patients and avid supporters of Joslin.
Emceed by J.C. Monahan, co-anchor of WCVB’s Chronicle, the evening will begin with a lively cocktail reception followed by entertainment from the Hip Pocket Orchestra as well as a silent and live auction led by auctioneer John Terrio of Auction Knights. Guests will have the chance to win a 3-night stay for two in a suite at the Fairmount Olympic Park in Seattle, including transportation, a Le Cordon Bleu Cooking Class and VIP tour of Pike Place Market in this year’s raffle.
Individual ticket cost is $1,000 and can be purchased here: www.joslin.org/gala. Please note that a portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible.
