Johnny Appleseed’s The World's Tallest Ice Luge and Chromeo Performance at Boston’s Seaport District

The World’s Largest Ice Luge will stand at least 25 feet high (surpassing the current record holder by two feet) and span four feet wide. Workers will begin loading the required 25,000 pounds of ice into the Seaport World Trade Center as early as 6 a.m. Thursday morning to prepare for the evening event.


Electro-funk duo Chromeo will help Johnny Appleseed Hard Apple Cider welcome the start of summer with a free performance.


Boston’s own Jenny Dell will host and emcee the event, taking place in the shadow of the World’s Largest Ice Luge.


Gates open at 7 p.m., with Chromeo taking the stage at 8:30 p.m. for a 60-minute DJ set that will include a performance of their latest single, “Jealous,” which is also featured in Johnny Appleseed’s national television commercial.
