It’s “Not Your Average Plastic Paddy's Day” in Davis Square
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day week with a special dinner at Saloon & the hit Irish play “Jimmy Titanic” at The Rockwell.
Winning the 2014 IRNE award for best solo performance, Jimmy Titanic is a hit Irish play produced by Tir na Theatre, the same company that brought you “The Winemaker”. A century after the sinking of the Titanic, after fictional accounts and conjecture, documentaries, and journalism, Jimmy Titanic is a remarkable piece of pared down theater that manages to entertain, inform, move, and comment from a completely original point of view. God and Gabriel are just two of some 20 delightfully outrageous characters – all portrayed by Colin Hamell – in Bernard McMullan’s darkly funny play.
Next to the theater, sister restaurant Saloon is celebrating St. Patrick’s week by offering a special Guinness Braised Corned Beef Dinner served with roasted red potatoes, Napa cabbage, baby carrots, and a stone ground mustard jus.
And you’ll be seeing green because they are offering a special package that includes dinner, a ticket to the show, and a cool pint of Ireland’s finest Guinness all for $40.
WHEN: Wednesday 3/15-Sunday 3/19
Dinner: Wednesday through Saturday starting at 5pm and immediately following the 7:30pm show
Dinner Sunday immediately following the 4:00pm matinee.
COST: Dinner/Theater Package $40 or Dinner $22 / Jimmy Titanic $25 General Admission
