Ikebana is the Japanese cultural art of flower arrangement. The history of Ikebana can be traced back hundreds of years as a spiritual practice. Over the centuries in Japan, it evolved into an art form that brings the beauty of nature and the seasons indoors. The beautiful combinations of pottery, branches, flowers, and space is breathtaking.
Hiroki Ohara is the 5th Headmaster of the Ohara School of Ikebana in Japan. Founded over 120 years ago, the Ohara School today has over one million students worldwide. This will be the headmaster’s first large-scale public demonstration in Massachusetts. Please join us for this once in a lifetime event! (www.oharaschoolma.com)
