From belly dancing to Bollywood, dance takes center stage at this week’s First Fridays. Enjoy live performances by a wide scope of dance troupes, take in a mini gallery talk, and lose your blues with our specialty cocktail: the lime rickey!

Boston University Bhangra
BU’s Bhangra dance troupe will perform the traditional Punjabi folk dance that emphasizes high energy, bombastic hopefulness, and elation!
Jalwa
Boston University's premier co-ed fusion dance team will feature a lively, arresting mix of dance styles including bollywood, hip-hop, bhangra, and contemporary.
Step About Boston
Step About Boston, BU’s Irish Step Dancing club, is dedicated to all things Irish. Catch their nimble, intricate footwork, reels and slip jigs set to traditional Irish music.
Boston University’s Belly Dance Society
Embracing sensuality with the entrancing style of this traditional Middle Eastern movement, BU Belly Dance Society will perform enticing, torso-articulating choreography.
Spotlight Talks | 6:30–8:30 pm

These mini gallery tours offer an insider’s perspective on works in the ICA’s current exhibitions. This month they will focus on works in the Adriana Varejão and When the Stars Begin to Fall exhibitions. Tours take place every 30 minutes from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Last talk begins at 8:30; galleries close at 9:30 pm.
