Don’t miss the final celebration of HUBweek 2016 –a warehouse party in the South End complete with beer from the Charles!
On Saturday, October 1st at the SOWA Power Station, join us for the HUBweek Closing Party. Featuring multiple signature HUBweek experiences, including music, projections, and art installations; the much-anticipated Brew the Charles (see details below); and tasty bites from local food innovators, this will be a whole new take on space, art, science, and food. This event is open to the public and welcomes all ages–registration is required at HUBweek.org
Swimming in the Charles is one thing. How about drinking the Charles? Six local breweries are taking the challenge. Working with Newton-based water technology company Desalitech, these breweries are taking Charles River water and turning into beer. This August, Desalitech will run thousands of gallons of Charles River water through its industry-leading treatment and purification system. From there, six local breweries will create custom, craft brews that turn science into beer. Which brewery will create the best beer? That's for you to decide. Come to the Brew the Charles competition to taste for yourself and award a prize to the best Charles River HUBweek brew.
Who it’s for: Anyone over the age of 21
Vibe: Fun, smart, adventurous, delicious
Participating Organizations:
Desalitech; Idle Hands Craft Ales; Castle Island Brewing Co; Boston Beer Company; Ipswich Ale Brewery; Cape Ann Brewing Company; Harpoon Brewery
