The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. Death can occur within 5 minutes of excessive bleeding. No matter how fast professional emergency responders arrive, bystanders will always be first on the scene. Often a bystander may be the one to save an injured person from death.

Learning to STOP THE BLEED is a lifesaving skill. With 3 quick actions, you can be trained and empowered to save a life.

This is especially important since many adults take blood thinners (Xarelto, Eliquis, Aspirin, etc.) which could result in excessive bleeding from various injuries. Given that injuries can occur anytime, this is a necessary skill that all members of the community should have.

The course is open to anyone who is interested, adults and youth alike.

1.5 hours – includes a slide presentation and a hands-on skills course.

A certificate is available to those who attend both portions of the training.

Registration required.
