The Roxbury Tenants of Harvard, The Lung Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and JazzBoston celebrate International Jazz Day with an afternoon of activities for all ages that pair jazz and medicine to raise awareness of the importance of lung health and the joy of making music with your neighbors.


Whether you’re a jazz fan or just curious, a veteran performer or have never played a note, this is your chance to meet some of Boston’s most creative jazz artists and try out the techniques they use to blow their horns or jazz up a song. By the end of the afternoon, you’ll be ready to perform with them in the closing jam session. Bring your own instrument or borrow one of ours.
