A global dance party using mp3 players/smartphones + headphones to create a shared music and dancing experience.


How it Works in 3 Steps: Participant’s Guide


1. Choose your Technology:


The crowdsourced dancemix MP3 will be distributed to your mp3 player or smartphone via

The mix will be streaming via SilentDiscoSquad.com, if you have a smartphone + dataplan (approx. 200mb), no downloading is necessary as we stream in sync!


2. Arrive at the Boston Aquarium with music device + headphones. Dress like you’re ready to dance..
You can spread the joy and mayhem with the hashtag #globalfloat to dancers around the world.


3. Ground Rules:


Have fun while keeping a cool head. Cross streets carefully. Encourage respect between the other dancers. This event is a sober one; if you choose to drink, use common sense. This is an event for people of all ages, and that’s the way we like it.
