Hosted by Marian Taylor Brown, Founder of Arts Connect International and brought together by Jed Hammel along with the fine folks at Aeronaut. A fun night full of art making, socializing, laughter, learning, and libations.


Remember when you were a kid and you just painted because it was fun? Well this event is a lot like that.


- Paint, brushes, and small canvases will be provided and a presentation by Marian will kick off the evening.


- ACI is a non-profit organization that cultivates and connects leaders in the arts field committed to cultural inclusion and social equity.


- No artistic experience needed ~ just an open mind and a good sense of humor. This is a night of fun with art, though not a class.

Jed Hammel from Volta Visual video production enjoys bringing people together to connect in a real way, to learn something new, and to celebrate all that Boston has to offer...and so do the fine folks at at Aeronaut Brewery. So we've teamed up to offer a series of fun skill share or just, you know, fun events presented by Aeronaut, taught by a variety of cool folks, and brought together by Jed. These 4 free-to-the-public monthly events happen right before Aeronaut's "Bites, Beats, and Beamers", so check out the festivities afterwards!

Friday, January 15th - Freestyle Painting Artbar -


Marian devotes her life to working on the question of how to build and support inclusive learning communities through the arts, done by looking at learning and leadership styles to catalyze social change. Prior to founding ACI Marian was the recipient of a Global Health Corps Fellowship to work at the Art and Global Health Center in Malawi, Africa, promoting HIV/AIDS education and advocacy through the arts. Marian received her Ed.M. from Harvard's Graduate School of Education, and her B.A. from Colorado College.
