Marshmallow Fluff turns 100 years old! It was right here in Somerville that Archibald Query first whipped up this world famous treat and began selling it door-to-door. At the March 4th Somerville Winter Farmers Market we're honoring the centennial with a birthday party celebrating Somerville's favorite local crop!


The Armory will be transformed into a birthday celebration with decorations and over 30 vendors joining in on the fun!


A band new book, "Fluff: The Sticky Sweet Story of an American Icon" chronicling the surprising story of Fluff will be hot off the presses and on sale. The author, Mimi Graney, will be available for signings.


There will be lots of Fluff treats on throughout the market such as Sea Salt Caramel Crispies from Ava's Caramel Popcorn to Fluff Ice Cream from Tipping Cow, Peanut Butter Fluff Chocolate Cups from Apotheker's and even their own homemade marshmallow cream from Birchtree Bakery. Even Jaju Pierogi is getting in on the fun with a Berry Fluff Chocolate Pierogi we've got to try!


Meanwhile, other vendors will be giving out "birthday presents" and you're the honoree. Wear your t-shirt from Fluff festivals past, or just tell the staff "I'm a friend of Archibald Query" to receive discounts and special offers.


Throughout the day, we'll be giving away 100 free cupcakes because every birthday party needs cake!


After you've had your fair share of Fluff and sugar, the market will have plenty of fresh, local produce for sale to bring you back down from your sugar high!
