Bring the entire family to the annual Mayor’s Fall Pumpkin Fest at Frog Pond featuring floating pumpkins, luminaries and fun family activities! Refreshments, music and child-focused activities will make this a spooktacular way to celebrate Halloween.
Bring-Your-Own Pumpkin
Bring your pumpkin to one of the drop-off areas alongside the pond. We will illuminate them and float them for you. Watch as the pond fills up with glowing pumpkins.
Your carved and decorated jack-o’-lanterns must be 8” in diameter, or smaller, and already hollowed out or they will not float. After the event they will be used to make compost for the city’s gardens.
Activities:
Decorate Halloween luminaries with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts. Each bag will be illuminated and set along the perimeter of Frog Pond.
Experiments with the Mass Horticultural Society and Science on the Street.
