Dance for World Community Festival Week kicks off with the Dance on Film Series, June 5-7, 2017 at The Brattle Theatre, Cambridge.
Rize explores the dance forms of Clowning and Krumping which started in Los Angeles around the time of the 1992 riots that followed the Rodney King verdict. The film stars Lil’ C and Tommy Johnson (aka Miss Prissy and Tommy the Clown).
Dance for World Community Festival Week concludes on Saturday, June 10 with Festival Day - a FREE daylong, indoor/outdoor celebration of dance featuring more than 80 Boston area dance groups!
