Break the Chains is a semi-monthly all-ages, all-gender, radical dance party featuring nationally touring queer and trans performers. We're back on Oct 29 for a special HALLOWEEN edition. Wear what you want, but we'll have prizes for best costume!!!
QUEERS WILL DANCE with Guest DJ Mercedes Flowers!!!
Featuring live performances by touring artists:
Adhamh Roland - genderqueer visionary activist/songcrafter who sings about resilience, evolution, interconnectedness and freedom from cycles of oppression. "Frighteningly clever and disarmingly heartfelt folksongs"-Examiner.com
Brenna Sahatjian - Grunge flavored dream folk. Songs about anti-capitalism and re-enchantment
Miriam Elhajli - Venezuelan-Moroccan-American composer and vocalist whose work is influenced strongly by Latin American folk, modern jazz, and contemporary classical music.
Evan Greer - you know me ;-)
This *should* go without saying: but NO racist/sexist/transphobic/etc costumes.
All ages. Wheelchair accessible. $10 - 20 sliding scale suggested donation at the door to support working queer artists. $5 youth / low income. Contact Evan to volunteer and you get in for free! [email protected]
