Every year, the Boston College Arts Festival brings the Boston College and surrounding communities together to celebrate the arts. In 2015, the 17th annual Arts Festival committee will once again invite the community to experience the variety of arts at Boston College firsthand. A talented group of more than 1,000 student and faculty artists will present music, theater, dance, poetry, film, painting, sculpture, and more. Enjoy some music, buy some art, try your hand at ceramics, listen to readings, enjoy a play...there’s so much to experience at the BC Arts Festival.
We will hold our annual Arts Awards ceremony on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 4:00pm in the Stokes Art Tent. Along with recognizing accomplished students, the awards program will also be honoring a distinguished faculty member, and a BC alum who has made significant contriubtions to the arts in their field. Stay tuned for awards updates throughout the year.

* The Tempest. Directed by Professor Patricia Riggin, The Tempest, known as Shakespeare's final play, is set on a remote island, where Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place using illusion and skillful manipulation. He conjures up a storm, the eponymous tempest, to lure his usurping brother Antonio and the complicit King Alonso of Naples to the island. There, his machinations bring about the revelation of Antonio's lowly nature, the redemption of the King, and the marriage of Miranda to Alonso's son, Ferdinand. *Admission $15, $10 for seniors or with a BC ID.
