Founded in 1973, the award-winning Blacksmith House Poetry Series brings established and emerging writers of poetry and fiction to Harvard Square. All readings take place in person at 56 Brattle Street on Mondays at 8pm. Admission is $5 and tickets are available at the door.
Christian Wiman
Christian Wiman is the author of numerous books, most recently Survival Is a Style (poems) and He Held Radical Light: The Art of Faith, the Faith of Art (prose). His new book is Zero at the Bone: Fifty Entries Against Despair. He is Professor of the Practice of Religion and Literature at Yale Divinity School.
Danielle Chapman
Danielle Chapman's memoir, Holler: A Poet Among Patriots, was published in October 2023, and her second book of poems, Boxed Juice, will be released in 2024, both from Unbound Edition Press. Her first poetry collection, Delinquent Palaces, was published by Northwestern University Press in 2015. She teaches Shakespeare and creative writing at Yale University.
