On April 30, 2015, Generations Incorporated will host its seventh annual Between the Lines fundraising event.
Our featured speaker is Ralph Smith, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Campaign for Grade Level Reading. We have been fortunate to be involved in this campaign in Massachusetts and it is because of this campaign that we made the strategic decision to focus on the earliest grades in order to boost literacy skills among young children.
The Campaign for Grade Level Reading is spearheaded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, devoted to developing a brighter future for millions of children at risk of poor educational, economic, social and health outcomes. Currently, more than 30 states have adopted the campaign
Reading at an early age is too important to not warrant our attention. Failure to teach a kid to read consigns him or her to a life of hardship.
This is an occasion for our supporters, donors and stakeholders to come together and close the gap.
And Generations Incorporated is committed to closing the gap…
And that’s why on April 30th we invite you to join us as we celebrate for the Campaign here in Boston.
This cocktail reception to celebrate Generations Incorporated is business casual attire and will provide hors d'oeuvres, wine and beer. The evening's events will include live music, a silent auction and live fundraiser. Accessible by paid and public parking as well as MBTA station and bus.
