Celebrate the French Revolution with a distinct Cantabridgian “je ne sais quoi!”
Bonde Fine Wine Shop is delighted to announce that its Bastille Day Celebration will be taking place on Church Street in Harvard Square on Friday July 21st, 2023 from 6pm to 10pm, in collaboration with the Harvard Square Business Association. Church Street in Harvard Square will be blocked off to traffic for the outdoor party.
Sip French wine in our outdoor wine garden at wine-in-France prices (read: enviously cheap), savor French foods from Source, La Saison, and Le Macaron, and dance the night away under the stars with live music from Bobby Keyes and a DJ spinning 80s and 90s French techno-pop music! Vive la revolution!
Live Music & DJ
- 6pm – 8pm: BAND CHANGE - Live music from Parisian Café, a trio specializing in the French café music and Gypsy Jazz of the 1930s
- 8pm – 10pm: Dance party under the stars with DJ JoE FinnZ
Wine at Bonde Wine Garden
Come sip French wine by the glass in our Parisian wine garden! Bertil Jean – Chronberg, Harvard Square’s eminent sommelier and owner of Bonde Fine Wine Shop (and actual French person!) will be bringing his distinct French flair and serving fabulous and rare French wines by the glass at affordable prices.
White wines on offer will be:
- Château de Maligny, Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume 2016, Burgundy (Chardonnay)
- Clos de L'Ecotard, Saumur Blanc 'Clos de I'Ecotard' 2017 (Chenin Blanc)
Rosé wine on offer will be:
- Ferme Blanche Cassis Rose 2019, Provence (Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan)
Red wine on offer will be:
- Domaine de Sulauze, ''Les Amis' 2016, Coteaux d'Aix en Provence (Grenache, Syrah)

Bonde Wine Shop will also be open during the festival, where you can purchase the French wines that we’re serving, as well as all of our other wines.
French Food - Sandwiches, Pastries, and Macarons!
All that dancing can make you hungry! Our neighbor on Church Street, SOURCE Restaurants, will be selling delectable French sandwiches along with a vegetarian option.
What is more French than a sweet and colorful macaron? Our friends from Le Macaron will be on hand selling these authentic delicacies. Have one (or two) and bring some home for later!
Pastries and vegetarian Focaccia from LA SAISON Bakery (Best of Boston 2021, 2022, and 2023) will be available for purchase.
