As 70 percent of Boston-area leases reset on September 1 and thousands of apartments in Allston (and around Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville) change hands. As a result the annual unofficial curbside holiday “Allston Christmas” takes place.


The ultimate free event: Find everything from air conditioners to boardgames to deer heads to microwaves. Essentially anything and everything that won't fit in people's moving trucks is up for grabs.
