The Fenway Alliance is a consortium of 21 national and internationally renowned cultural and academic institutions all located in the Fenway that define the best of arts, culture, education, and research in Boston and beyond. Opening Our Doors, our signature event, aims to bring together our members and community in a wonderfully diverse day of FREE cultural offerings for the entire family. Member institutions and partners host activities ranging from musical and dance performances to historic tours and lectures, special "behind-the-scenes" looks at Alliance institutions, walking tours of The Fenway, and much more!
Highlights at the 16th Annual Opening Our Doors Festival will include:
the Kick-off Ceremony, ARCK's large interactive dry erase mural, and performances by the Hyde Square Task Force and Boston Children's Choir at the Christian Science Plaza, "Painted to Play" pianos, food truck, and Julie Ann Otis' American Therapy Booth at Evans Way, a musical playground provided by the Boston Symphony Orchestra in the YMCA of Greater Boston's lobby, and various activities and student performances at Northeastern University's Krentzman Quadrangle.
